Secretary of State Marco Rubio is encouraging Qatar to continue in its mediator role despite the recent Israeli strike on Hamas leaders in Doha.

Secretary Rubio said, “Obviously, they have to decide if they want to do that after last week or not, but we want them to know that if there’s any country in the world that could help end this through a negotiation, it’s Qatar.”

He added that time is running out as the Israeli Defense Forces continues efforts to take control of Gaza City.

The U.S. secretary of state said, “The Israelis have begun to take operations there, so we think we have a very short window of time in which a deal can happen. We don’t have months anymore, and we probably have days and maybe a few weeks to go.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Rubio to be led by the Lord as he encourages Qatar to continue peace negotiations.
  • For U.S. officials as they evaluate the war between Israel and Hamas.
  • For President Trump to seek God’s direction as he works to end conflicts around the world.
